A New dawn is here..

Wow! It’s here,

February I mean.

A month gone already! Or should I say 31 days? Or 744 hours?

Can you remember how you felt on the first day in the year?

I’m talking about the hopes, optimism, belief, drive, positivity, aspirations?

Can you compare it with how you feel after over 44,640 seconds?

Has it waned? Is it more intense?

What changed?

Can you still remember your goals for the year?

Life, health, academic, family, travel, spiritual, career,

What about your deal breakers?

And those things you promised to stop?

How has it been so far?

Do an honest check!

Many things have happened in the little space of 2020,

I’ve seen the good; I’ve seen the not too good

Maybe things were just a continuation of the year before, or perhaps the earth knows for herself she’s in a new decade?

Anything different yet from how things were?

Does the year difference count for anything except for age?

Is the year indeed pregnant?

Or we are just getting to see the already born offspring in times and season?

Who shall I ask? Who knows?

Only ‘what’s, ifs, and maybe’s’ occupy my mind right now

It’s a new month I presume

Or we’ve been here before, playing out well written scripts?

Oh

I’ve been writing x and o’s

Pardon me; it’s my first time on this journey

I know I can do it, or so I think

My strength and focus will not fail; I was born for the month ready!
