When we were very little, our parents, school teachers, caretakers, would forbid that we talked, stood up, or engage in other activities while eating at the dining table.  They did well to always sound the word “Table manners” in our ears. But really were they table manners? Or just control measures on the dining table for kids? Do a reality check! Since most of us grew up, became adults, how many of us keep quiet while eating? Or even sit rightly? Not to talk of pressing our phones while eating? I’m sure not many of us still do with very few exceptions. Even back then, I noticed we were the only ones not permitted to talk, while on the other hand, our parents laughed hysterically, and talked as they chewed on their food. So, it got me thinking at that age, why exactly it was binding on us as kids? Was it an issue of manners? Were our parents mannerless? Or they were above such? It’s no news that tomorrow is Valentine’s Day.  Many people are fixed up for this particular day. For some, it’s the perfect time to pop the question;”will you marry me?” Yeah, the entire proposal frenzies. For some, a day to spend with loved ones, see movies, see places, the park, the idea is to have fun through whatever they decide to do, share love, laugh, and cuddle, share gifts, give surprise treats, and the likes. And while for some, it’s just another day; not really interested in what the day means or signifies. For them it’s just another day to enjoy what they do or maybe stay indoors all through. Well, how people choose to spend their day is not my business, and is not the reason why I’m writing this. Healthy Tuesday How to keep your fruits/veggies fresher for longer. 1. Keep your fridge clean Very Important! 2. Don't store tomatoes in the fridge. Their storage time varies from 3 weeks to 2 months depending on how ripe they are when you buy them. To make them last longer, keep in a pantry or on the counter because low temperature makes them lose their flavor and taste 3. Keep your onions in nylon stockings. They get rotten quickly. They are best kept in a cool, dark place. If kept well, they can last up to 8 months. 4. Put Potatoes in a dark and cool place. Plastic bags are not best for storage. Paper bags are better. Otherwise, place them in a box with newspaper under. 5. Don't store veggies and fruits near a gas stove or an area that tends to have heat or smoke. Heat is known to increase the ripening process. When exposed, they get ripe too soon. 6. Freeze ripe bananas for your smoothies. If you've bought bananas that are ripe but you want to...

The best guide to the situations of life is God's word, because it is the Truth! And its why I have used it to define this series. So, in continuation, Number 3 3. People will always have their opinion about you, however wrong they can be. Jesus himself was not excluded! More ridiculous than ever, some people were of the opinion that he (Jesus) was John the Baptist! I mean they were seen alive together, how dumb can this get? Matthew 16:14 KJV And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. People will always have their opinion! Don't lose your identity because of them. Stay true to who you are. You know you best. This is not to shun the opinion of people completely but this is to never rely on the opinion of others of you above what you think of you. In this context!

People will hurt you. The earlier you know this, the better. Luke 17:1a KJV Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: Jesus says it's IMPOSSIBLE! As you go through life, people will hurt you, as you will also hurt people. People will use you! We are to forgive through it all. Luke 17:4 KJV And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. Serious work right? Only a devil will count how many times he's offended by one person in a day 😃 You're not, so you'll keep forgiving.

See this; John 1:10-11 KJV He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. [11] He came unto his own, and his own received him not. Don't be too hard on yourself. Today was my first time out since the start of the working days here in Lagos, Nigeria. I got to experience the effects of the ban on ‘keke’ and ‘okada’, you can check the words up in the oxford dictionary.  My ordeal today further lends credence to the saying that “You don’t know the value of what you have till you lose it” Maybe many of us didn’t really appreciate the value the okada and keke provided till the ban forced us to realize. It wasn’t too bad though, I walked a few distance till I got to areas where their operations were permitted.  The weather was terribly hot, dry and dusty to make it worse. Let’s talk about embarrassments. What’s the most memorable embarrassment you’ve had to suffer? I remember an event that happened sometime ago in secondary school, far-away from home, FGC, Ogbomoso. It’s one of my most memorable embarrassing moments. Each time I reminisce on this event, it brings a mix of laughter and shame. It happened that on this day, that the previous night, I was at the school clinic to get some medication for fever, which explained why I overslept into the next morning and was late for the assembly.  I jolted up from the bed, upon hearing the shouts and running around in pandemonium.  It took me a few minutes to access the situation as I was still feeling the drowsing effects of the drugs I took.😪 Getting up, I saw the SS3 students also in chaos, trying to flee the hostel. “What do you know about love?” I hear this statement a lot from elderly people when they see young folks who talk about been ‘In love’ Those times in college, or University here in this part of the world, you see two people, full of energy, passion, mostly full of indecision, but just ready to go all the way in love, or so they think. You know what I’ve found out? Most times, many of these relationships don’t survive the outside of the four walls of school. You know why?
